• Existential updates itself from this version on. An update takes a verified backup first, and a failed update returns you to the version you had with your notes and learned data intact.
  • Links in your vault stay links. A folder linked from outside your vault, such as Dropbox or Google Drive, is never read, imported or sent, and saving into one is refused with a message that names it.
  • Console recognizes wiki-style note links written by the local model and converts them into citations it can check.
  • Console's instructions ask for plain language. Simple greetings get direct replies, import progress uses real counts, and latest-note questions in an unframed conversation select the Oracle's most recently ingested eligible note.
  • First setup shows real progress counts and marks a step finished only when it is confirmed. "Only this Mac" joins the running model download.
  • The app, the Dock, the disk image and the menu bar use the Existential icon, and the disk image window shows the steps past macOS's block.
  • The menu bar follows the state of your Oracle and offers Send a support report. The application menu adds About Existential. Closing Capture does not quit the app.
  • Sign-in problems show a short page in plain words, and the page after GitHub sign-in has an Open Existential link with recovery steps.
  • The dashboard explains pending or held keychain reads. Concurrent reads of the same item share one native read, and passive GitHub checks avoid unnecessary credential reads.
