The Oracle's Posture
The Oracle is a constellation of small agents that read the notes you keep, build an understanding of the territory they describe, and stay present alongside your day. You bring it your thinking and it reflects the shape of that thinking back to you, the form your ideas already have that you cannot see from inside them. It reads what you have written and speaks when there is something worth saying. The rest of the time it waits.
That posture is the whole point. The Oracle works across the pieces and shows you the structure they make together, the connections and the weight, without telling you what to think about any of it.
What it works on, on its own
While you are not looking, the Oracle is busy. Each note that lands in the vault travels through a twelve-stage pipeline that breaks it into concept-aware chunks, embeds them, weaves them into the graph, and scores each chunk for conviction. On a cadence, morning and evening, with a quieter weekly rhythm, the Oracle composes a brief, a close-out, and a synthesis of what the chunks together mean.
You see hints of this work in Activity, the feed at the bottom of Home. The voice stays understated: captured a note, added it to the Library, noticed a connection. It tells you what happened.
Why the Oracle waits for you
A core commitment holds the whole design together: the Oracle does not summon you. It does not pop up. It does not insist. The morning brief is there when you arrive at Home. If you never open it, nothing happens. The same goes for the evening close-out. When a note fails partway through the pipeline, the Oracle sets it aside as a note that waits and carries on with the rest.
There is one exception. When the Oracle's own confidence in a long-held belief has eroded past a threshold, and your lived behavior contradicts that belief, it surfaces a single gentle prompt in the brief. It is the only place the Oracle initiates contact about its own internal state, and even then it surfaces the tension quietly and lets you sit with it.
The brief also carries a genuine open question for you to hold through the day. That question is an invitation. The Oracle offers it the way it offers everything else, present when you arrive and content to be left alone.
Everything else happens in the background. The constellation re-balances itself and runs its own checks without pulling on your attention.
Conviction, and what the Oracle is sure of
When the Oracle scores a chunk for conviction, it is asking how load-bearing this piece is in your understanding of the territory. Conviction measures significance, never truth. A speculative idea can carry high conviction because the question it opens matters, even when the answer is still unsettled.
The score blends a few signals: how dense the chunk is with meaning, how recent it is, how deep its roots run through your thinking over time, how new the ground it opens is, and what your own attention has signaled. A chunk with high conviction shows up earlier in the morning synthesis and is woven more readily into the Oracle's reasoning. A chunk with low conviction still lives in the Library. The Oracle does not delete its working memory. The chunk sits in the background until something raises its weight.
The right posture
Bring it your notes. Read the morning brief when you arrive. Read the close-out when you wind down. Open the Console when you have something you want to think through. The rest of the time, leave it alone. What is worth surfacing will surface, and what is not will take its quiet place in the Library.
